Job summary

ACH Child and Family Services seeks a Permanency Specialist to provide permanent planning and placement for children in CPS care. You will assess needs, coordinate services, and work with families, attorneys, and Kinship staff to achieve safe permanency.

You will visit children, prepare court reports, attend hearings, and support families through reunification or adoption while maintaining documentation and compliance with agency policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is required.
• Experience: Two years in human services; case management experience preferred.
• Functional: Knowledge of child placement practices and ability to assess needs for permanency.
• Ability to travel locally and out of state as needed to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high ethical standards as per agency Code of Ethics.
• Attend court hearings, prepare court reports, and testify on child needs and progress.
• Visit children monthly to assess safety and progress toward permanency.
• Collaborate with Kinship staff, placement team, and foster parents to support permanency goals.
• Document case records with forms, narratives, and reports to form a complete history.
