New graduates welcome; compensation $26–$30 per hour; schedule Monday–Friday with weekend rotation; you will work under a licensed Physical Therapist and collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to deliver compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current PTA license or eligibility for licensure in Maine
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Implement treatment plans designed to improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and functional independence
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, transfers, gait training, and other functional activities
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Accurately document treatments, patient progress, and other required clinical information
  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process
  • Promote safe mobility and help patients develop skills they can carry over into their daily routines
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the care team to support comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain a compassionate, professional approach while working with patients and their families

Compensation: $26–$30 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday | Weekend rotation

Join a dedicated rehabilitation team at a 74-bed skilled nursing facility providing comprehensive care to patients at different stages of recovery. The facility specializes in post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care, giving PTAs the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and make a meaningful impact every day.

The rehabilitation team is committed to addressing the medical and functional needs of individuals recovering from illness, injury, surgery, hospitalization, or changes in mobility. As a PTA, you’ll play an important role in helping patients regain strength, improve mobility, build confidence, and work toward greater independence.
