Job summary

The Kidney Care Center in Hobbs, NM is seeking an experienced Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse to join our team. You will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis and work closely with patients and families to ensure the best possible care.

We work with one doctor who has a large practice. You will administer PD treatments, monitor patient vitals, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of peritoneal dialysis nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer peritoneal dialysis treatment to patients as prescribed by physicians.
• Assess patients' conditions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about peritoneal dialysis treatment and self-care techniques.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and lab results to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain knowledge of current best practices in peritoneal dialysis treatment.
