Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking an Assistant Manager Store Operations to lead daily store activities and drive customer satisfaction. This exempt role reports to the District Store Director and Store Manager.

You will supervise store associates, schedule labor, ensure product availability, and maintain store standards for service, safety, and profitability. A high school education and retail experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent experience.
• One year or more of retail experience including performing the duties of an Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of employees.
• Ensures prompt, courteous, and efficient service to customers.
• Learns customers' names and addresses customers by name when possible.
• Oversees training, handles employee issues, and coordinates disciplinary procedures when necessary.
• Maintains store standards for customer service and profitability.
• Coordinates scheduling and labor planning with Store Directors.
