Job summary

Sysco Los Angeles, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Quality Assurance position to monitor the quality of perishable products in the warehouse and input orders through data entry while performing extensive customer service duties.

The role requires routine communication with buyers, strict adherence to safety and sanitation policies, and the ability to identify and resolve issues related to product quality and rotation.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Capable of basic arithmetic and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check produce in slots daily to ensure shipping-ready quality.
• Communicate quality issues to buyers and assist in resolutions.
• Ensure proper product rotation and report any rotation problems to supervisors.
• Monitor variance reports for spoilage and warehouse damage.
• Greet internal and external customers to maintain high service levels.
• Inspect inbound freight, warehoused and outbound product and document condition.
• Correspond with stakeholders on product quality status.
• Analyze quality problems and propose corrective actions.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies.
