Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Supervisor in Mississippi (Ecru) to oversee produce, meat, dairy, bakery and related duties under Store Manager supervision. You will help manage inventory, pricing, displays, and customer service while enforcing safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires 1 year retail experience with 6 months supervisory experience preferred, a high school diploma, and food-handling certifications where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Attainment of local/state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring financial integrity through cash accountability and security practices.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using planning tools and guides.
• Train assigned associates in proper presentation, freshness and pricing of perishables.
• Assist with customer service and ensuring customer needs are met promptly.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and food handling regulations.
• Maintain inventory records and communicate with Store Manager about stock levels and markdowns.
