Job summary

Food Lion in Florence, SC is seeking a dedicated team member for the Perishable Department to provide quality customer service and maintain high standards. You’ll work to maximize sales, minimize shrink, rotate stock, and ensure food safety through proper procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Serve as courteous and helpful team member to others.
• Understand and use company tools for inventory and ordering as applicable.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store properly.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying follow policies.
• Maintain product levels in Perishable Department (meat, dairy, frozen, etc.).
• Handle meat processing, wrapping, weighing and stocking as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department and maintain layout standards.
• Adhere to advertising and sales promotion materials and all safety guidelines.
• Follow Food Lion policies and local regulations; wear uniform and name badge on duty.
