Job summary

Food Lion in Saluda, SC is hiring for a Perishable Department Associate. You will provide quality customer service, maintain department standards, and maximize sales while minimizing shrink through proper use of standard practices.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, stocking and rotating products, and ensuring meat, dairy, and other perishables are properly displayed. You will follow safety guidelines and complete required CBT and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store properly.
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, and displaying follow policies.
• Maintain product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream).
• Process beef and grinds as directed from the production tool.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat case as requested or needed.
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean the grinder as requested or needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department.
• Maintain layout and adhere to promotions.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Report accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge; neat appearance.
• Complete CBT and training courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
