Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Finance position focused on monitoring the quality of perishable products in the warehouse. You will input order information through data entry while supporting quality control operations and related duties as required.

This role requires discretion in daily warehouse operations to maintain product quality standards. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, warehouse or inventory control experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Warehouse, inventory control or merchandising experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication; solid analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Check produce in slots on a daily basis to ensure the product set up for shipping meets acceptable standards.
• Communicate regularly with necessary parties on the company’s status on product quality.
• Communicate with Inventory Control Manager or Compliance Manager and buyers about quality issues and assist in resolving them to ensure customers receive high quality products.
• Monitor variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, truck damage, etc.
• Inspect inbound freight, warehoused product, and/or outbound product and document product condition.
• Analyze, identify, and propose actions to resolve problems related to Quality Assurance.
• Observe all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies.
