Job summary

Gordon Food Service, Inc. is seeking a Perishable Replenishment Planner to execute fulfillment plans using the GFS forecasting system and other software.

You will manage high‑risk inventory, monitor KPIs, and serve as the primary supplier contact for inventory needs, driving improvements in in‑stock performance and reducing spoilage. The role requires collaboration with multiple internal teams and suppliers, with a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote) and a focus on optimizing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 3+ years in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Product or Category Management.
• Proficiency with Excel and Google applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Release Purchase Orders and replenish key, high‑value items for GFS customers.
• Monitor market conditions and product availability to maintain perishable inventory.
• Lead inventory management for conversions, seasonal buys, at‑risk and obsolete stock.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure proper inventory flow into/out of distribution centers.
• Manage service level, days on hand, and product loss for a vendor portfolio.
• Identify root causes for inventory issues and coordinate resolution.
