Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a dedicated employee for the Perishable Department in Lexington, VA. You will deliver fast, friendly service and maintain department standards to maximize customer satisfaction.

You will receive deliveries, rotate stock, and keep meat, dairy, and other perishables well stocked while following safety rules and company policies. Training and proper uniform are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and handle technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Perishable Department.
• Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and ensure proper storage.
• Maintain product levels in meat, lunchmeat, dairy, and other perishables.
• Assist with slicing, weighing, labeling, and stocking as needed.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and dress code.
• Complete CBT and training as assigned.
• Report accidents and maintain a clean department.
