Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a dedicated team member for the Perishable Department to provide high-quality customer service and maintain department standards. You will assist with receiving deliveries, stocking, and ensuring proper product placement and adherence to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining meat, dairy, and frozen sections, rotating stock, and supporting store operations to minimize shrink and maximize sales.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store merchandise.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policy.
• Maintain proper product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, frozen, ice cream).
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and report accidents as required.
