Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Manager for the Perishable Department at Store 01232 in Virginia. You will lead the department team, hire, train, and develop staff, oversee daily operations, and drive sales and budget goals while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will monitor labor, maintain food safety, use planning tools, and ensure store appearance and safety standards, collaborating with management to align with Food Lion's guiding principles and strategic plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of store operations preferred.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.
• Accreditation as Certified Food Safety Manager or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct formal performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion Guiding Principles and values.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain superb customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure proper scheduling, ordering, and display of merchandise.
• Monitor safety, sanitation and compliance with policies and regulations.
