Job summary

Food Lion in Virginia is seeking a Perishable Department associate to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain department standards. You will ensure accurate stocking, assist customers, and follow safety and quality guidelines to minimize shrink and provide a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and keeping meat, dairy, and other perishables well presented.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain product levels in meat, dairy, and other perishables.
• Receive deliveries and rotate stock per guidelines.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear Food Lion uniform.
• Perform CBT training and other duties as assigned.
