Job summary

Food Lion in Chesterfield, VA is seeking a Perishable Department team member to deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service while maintaining department standards.

You will assist with receiving deliveries, stocking meat, dairy, and frozen items, follow safety guidelines, complete CBT trainings, and support colleagues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The position requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and to wear the Food Lion uniform.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic customer awareness and fast, friendly, accurate service in the Perishable Department.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and stock items.
• Maintain product levels in meat, dairy, frozen, and related areas.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge.
• Perform training courses and other duties as assigned.
