Job summary

Food Lion in Marshall, VA is seeking a Front End/Perishable Associate to provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department. You will help maintain standards, maximize sales, and minimize shrink through proper use of standard practice.

You will receive deliveries, rotate and stock, maintain product levels across meat, dairy, and frozen sections, and ensure compliance with Food Safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Perishable Department.
• Assist and be courteous to fellow associates.
• Receive deliveries and rotate stock; code where applicable.
• Maintain product levels in meat, dairy, frozen, and other perishable areas.
• Follow safety guidelines and Food Lion policies.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Wear uniform with name badge and maintain neat appearance.
• Complete CBT and training packets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
