Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and use technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness to deliver fast, friendly service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store merchandise.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper product levels in all Perishable Department areas (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, frozen).
• Process beef and grinds as directed by production tools and requests.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat case as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department regularly.
• Follow Food Lion guidelines and standard practice.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and report accidents.
