Job summary

Food Lion in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a Perishable Department associate to deliver quality customer service while maintaining department standards. You will manage meat, dairy, and other perishable items, rotate stock, and assist with receiving and displaying merchandise.

Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to learn the ACIS/CAO systems, and a willingness to work as part of a fast-paced team in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying follow policies.
• Maintain product levels in all areas within the Perishable Department including meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stack meat case as directed.
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean the grinder as requested or needed.
• Properly clean and sanitize the department.
• Follow safety guidelines and report accidents.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty.
