Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a dedicated perioperative support specialist to join our team at the Faunce Corner Ambulatory Surgery Center in Dartmouth, MA. You will assist the perioperative and anesthesia teams, handling and maintaining equipment and supplies across multiple units including ASU, OB, and Cath Lab.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year of clinical hospital experience, BLS/CPR certification, and CNA or equivalent knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital, with OR exposure preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology related to perioperative setting.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.
• Compensation: pay rate determined by experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist perioperative and anesthesia teams across locations.
• Handle, clean and maintain perioperative, endoscopy and anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Assist nursing personnel in patient care and related duties.
• Perform ORA duties including on-call as needed.
• Complete training and demonstrate competency in endoscope and prostate probe reprocessing.
