Job summary

Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN seeks a Perioperative Surgery Assistant to support surgical teams and patient care in a busy operating room. The role emphasizes sterile technique, OR processes, and proactive turnover coordination, with ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, waste disposal, and supporting the Sterile Supply Coordinator; 1.0 FTE day/evening shifts, non-union, eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current AHA BLS or ARC CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Healthcare Provider BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical personnel in the provision of patient care per department/hospital standards.
• Understand sterile technique and OR processes; facilitate turnovers and proper waste disposal.
• Cross-train to support Sterile Supply Coordinator and work independently with good communication.
