Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care is seeking a part-time Surgical Services support role to assist in the operating room setting. The position supports the perioperative team by preparing carts, equipment, and handling supplies in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and basic computer skills; BLS certification is preferred. Work is varied with a 24-hour weekly schedule and compensation between $17.95 and $27.49 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic Life Support Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute surgical case carts according to physician's preference lists and anticipated needs of the perioperative team.
• Prepare and distribute equipment and positioning supplies according to the anticipated needs of the perioperative team.
• Maintain inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies, including anesthesia carts, and the anesthesia supply areas.
• Assist in transporting patients and equipment as needed.
• Follow established protocols for transporting equipment, supplies, and other items.
• Safely move, transfer, and transport patients onto transport vehicles (e.g.; wheelchairs, stretchers, patient beds, OR beds).
