Job summary

Virtua Health in South Jersey is seeking a Procurement Specialist to plan and execute purchasing of capital equipment, implants, and supplies. You will negotiate pricing, manage bid processes, and ensure contract compliance while coordinating with clinicians, administrators, and vendor reps.

You'll supervise staff, maintain item master data, monitor budgets, and support inventory controls, aiming for cost effectiveness and patient safety across the system.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in purchasing or procurement.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of capital equipment, implants, and supplies.
• Lead bid processes and negotiate pricing and terms with vendors.
• Collaborate with administrators, clinicians, and legal for contracts.
• Develop and maintain item master data and inventory controls.
• Review POs, accruals, discrepancies, and contract status with AP.
• Monitor monthly supply budgets and month-end transfers.
• Perform HR tasks for the purchasing staff (evaluations, plans, payroll).
