Job summary

MultiCare Health System's Tacoma General Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Services Technician to prep the OR suite and equipment, assist during surgeries and coordinate supplies. You’ll work under an RN or designee in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include preparing instruments and equipment, supporting OR staff, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced setting. A high school diploma and healthcare training are required or preferred, CPR certification, and OR experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post high school vocational training in a related health care field preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum two years of recent patient care experience preferred.
• Prior operating room experience preferred.
• Prior experience troubleshooting medical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR suite and equipment prior to surgeries.
• Provide assistance to the OR staff during surgeries/procedures.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or designee.
