Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent.
• Prior surgical or hospital setting experience preferred.
• On-the-job training for maximum of three months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional image and customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians and coworkers.
• Assist in safe lifting, positioning, and preparing patients for procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe environment and correct hazards.
• Monitor area and ensure non-essential equipment is cleared.
• Work with nursing staff to locate equipment for procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and suggest corrective actions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards.
• Respond to emergencies, including first aid and CPR, as part of the team.
• Support turnover and cleaning of operating rooms and equipment.
• Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for cases and restock as needed.
