Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Manager, Clinical Services Periop to lead a multidisciplinary team of perioperative nurses and technicians, implementing best practices and regulatory standards to optimize patient outcomes and efficiency.

You will oversee staffing, performance evaluations, professional development, and KPI monitoring, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient resource utilization across the operating

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Washington state license.
• Minimum of four years in nursing with two years in charge/leadership.
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing and clinical care standards.
• Familiarity with FHS policies, regulatory/accreditation requirements.
• Experience with healthcare coding conventions and medical necessity criteria.
• Strong supervisory, coaching, and performance management skills.
• Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary perioperative team and ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Oversee staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze clinical data, and implement process improvements to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other departments for coordinated patient care and efficient resource use.
