Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Services Manager to lead perioperative services, guiding assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in assigned areas. You will oversee pre-admission testing, pre-operative, operative and post-operative staff to ensure high-quality service around the clock.

The role requires RN licensure, a BSN (preferred), and supervisory experience, with CPAN certification preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state(s) of practice.
• BSN degree preferred.
• CPAN certification preferred.
• Two years of procedural preoperative and/or recovery room nursing experience.
• One year of supervisory or charge nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in assigned area(s).
• Assist the Director of Perioperative Services in planning, directing and managing pre-admission testing, pre-operative, operative and post-operative staff to ensure quality service on a 24-hour basis.
• Collaborate with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs.
• Manage resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Support the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards.
