Job summary

AHMC HealthCare is seeking a Surgical Services Manager in Riverside, CA to lead perioperative operations and coordinate the Bariatric outpatient department. You will oversee staff, align clinical plans, and partner with surgeons to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Key focus areas include enhancing patient experience, improving communication, and integrating pre-op, post-op, and support functions across the Bariatric Clinic and Surgical Services units.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing licensure in the State of California or strong perioperative knowledge and leadership experience, with a background as a Surgical Technologist or related surgical services role. Bachelors preferred.
• At least one year (1) of clinical experience including experience in patient care management.
• Current BLS.
• Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served.
• Basic understanding of management and leadership principles.
• Possess good oral and written communication
• Ability to work as a team member and demonstrate customer service attitude.
• Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational oversight, coordination, and support of perioperative services for safe, efficient patient care.
• Coordinate and manage the outpatient Bariatrics department.
• Oversee patient concerns for the Bariatric clinic and Surgical Services units.
• Provide direct and supervised care to established plans.
• Lead Patient Experience initiatives and address overall patient care issues.
• Work with the surgeons, manage the office staff, and integrate all aspects of the pre-op, post-op and support functions of outpatient Bariatric Clinic.
• Ensure a safe, effective environment for patients and staff through improved communication and customer service.
