Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh seek a dedicated RNFA First Assistant for perioperative services. The role provides direct patient care in the operating room, working closely with surgeons and the perioperative team.

Minimum requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s and 2–5 years of nursing experience; RN licensure and CNOR/Certified First Assistant credentials are preferred. Comprehensive benefits and Magnet-recognized nursing excellence accompany the position.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (RN) is required.
• 2–5 years perioperative nursing experience.
• CPR/BLS certification and ongoing education are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers intraoperative patient care as first assistant to the surgeon(s).
• Collaborates with the perioperative team to plan and deliver care.
• Monitors patient response and adjusts plan of care as needed.
• Administers medications per nursing standards and coordinates perioperative plan.
• Engages in professional development and contributes to team learning.
