Job summary

Bellevue Medical Center, part of Nebraska Medicine, is seeking Registered Nurses for the Operating Room. This role supports perioperative services with six to eight operating suites as we expand, and involves weekend, part-time scheduling with multiple early shift options.

Responsibilities include coordinating nursing care with the health care team, maintaining patient safety, and adapting to varied surgery types across specialties. Contact Jana Whitmarsh for applications.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
• Active Nebraska RN license or compact state license required.
• BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program (effective for new hires starting Jan 1, 2023 or later).
• PALS certification department dependent required; ED PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer date; department dependent.
• TNCC or ATCN within one year or hire/transfer date; department dependent.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients.
• Environment of care may be long term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven.
