Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami is seeking candidates for its 6-month Perioperative RN Training Program. This program helps experienced Registered Nurses transition into the intraoperative OR setting through hands-on training and clinical education.

Qualified applicants hold a FL RN license with BLS/ACLS, have graduated from an accredited nursing program, and possess at least one year of RN experience. The role involves active OR participation, safety protocols, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• FL RN License, BLS/ACLS required or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing with RN licensure in FL.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in perioperative or related area (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares OR suite appropriately to receive a new admission.
• Greets the patient on arrival and initiates hemodynamic monitoring.
• Evaluates and documents patient’s surgical status and notifies physician as needed.
• Assists anesthesia in managing intake/output and blood products when required.
• Performs perioperative nursing tasks and safety checks per policy.
