Job summary

Calais Community Hospital in Maine is seeking a full-time perioperative nurse. You will provide safe, high-quality patient-family centered care, scrub, circulate and work in the recovery room as needed, and communicate effectively with the perioperative team.

Requires RN from an accredited program, Maine license, BLS; ACLS and PALS within required timeframes; at least 1 year of med/surg or perioperative experience; CNOR preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• ACLS certification required for PACU employees (within 6 months).
• PALS certification required for PACU employees (within 12 months).
• At least 1 year medical/surgical or perioperative experience.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, patient-family centered care during the perioperative period.
• Able to scrub, circulate and work in the recovery room as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the perioperative team.
