Formación

• Minimum six months of recent nursing experience in an acute-care perioperative environment.
• External candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in most surgical specialties.
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and infection control.

Responsabilidades

• The OR Nurse uses the nursing process to design, coordinate and deliver patient care for operative procedures.
• May act as scrub or circulating nurse; acts as a Pt. Care Coordinator as requested.
• Functions as a role model to nursing students and new nurses.
