TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is offering a Nurse Residency Program for operating room nurses. The program targets new graduates or nurses with non-surgical backgrounds, providing didactic and clinical experience in the intra-operative setting.

Holders of an active RN license must commit to a 5-month internship with scheduled hours and preceptor-guided competency validation. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity at our Hendersonville facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing for TN or KY.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• One year RN experience required, any specialty.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the perioperative process.
• Assist in preoperative and intraoperative activities under supervision.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other care team members.
• Document care and ensure patient safety throughout the shift.
