Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking candidates for the Perioperative OR Nurse Internship with Vanderbilt Health Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The program runs March 1–April 30, 2027 and is open to RN candidates wishing to work in an OR setting with adult patients.

Prior ICU/Med Surg experience and an active RN license are preferred. Selected hires are full‑time Vanderbilt Health employees with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Nurse with at least 1 year of nursing experience (ICU or Med Surg preferred).
• Active RN license and completion of approved nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in establishing the plan of care and coordinate care delivery.
• Analyze patient information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Promote a healthy environment and safe patient care.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
