Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas seeks a flexible Per Diem/PRN Registered Nurse to provide routine and complex care in a perioperative-or similar clinical setting. The nurse will work independently, assess patients, administer medications, and coordinate care with the team.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications, with BSN preferred; prior perioperative or OR experience is a plus. The role requires ongoing competency validation and adherence to department protocols.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications current
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication and care given
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families or caregivers
