Job summary

Wichita Falls Specialty - Momentum Specialty Surgery Center is seeking an experienced RN for Preoperative and PACU care. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a same-day surgery setting, following physician orders and center policies.

You will monitor, document, and respond to patient conditions, administer medications, and assist in discharges while maintaining patient privacy and collaborating with physicians and departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License in State of Texas
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Assists in provision of nursing care for same day surgery patients.
• Assumes responsibility for patient care per physician orders and center policies.
• Monitors and controls use of and charging for supplies.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by physicians.
• Cares for and discharges post-operative patients per facility policies.
• Provides psychological support to patients and/or families.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintains rapport with physicians and other care departments.
• Performs routine charging of medications and supplies.
• Functions independently in emergencies.
