Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the OR team at Baptist Surgery Center in Mississippi. The RN will deliver patient care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases, adhering to nursing standards and patient rights.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the surgical team, documenting care, maintaining aseptic technique, and responding to emergencies. Current RN license and BLS/ACLS are required; hospital nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care using the nursing process in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.
• Reports pertinent information to staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Documents patient information legibly in the chart with professional title.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe patient handling.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and supports intraoperative requests.
• Performs nursing actions with accountability and adjusts care plans as needed.
