Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Pre/Post RN to provide high-quality perioperative care in our orthopedic surgical center. You will prepare patients for surgery, monitor in PACU, and support a smooth recovery and safe discharge, working closely with surgeons and anesthesia teams.

This role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Nebraska RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification (or within 90 days), and at least one year of perioperative, medical-surgical, or PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required or acquired within 90 days of hire or transfer date.
• 1+ years perioperative, medical-surgical or PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs an initial and ongoing assessment to determine the patient’s nursing care needs.
• Develops/reviews/revises an individualized plan of care for optimal outcomes.
• Implements interventions safely and in accordance with the care plan.
• Maintains professional behavior and supports the department’s mission.
• Participates in safety, regulatory and quality initiatives.
