Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• BSN preferred; all ASN must complete BSN studies within five years of start date.
• Current NJ Registered Nurse License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year Operating Room RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and restores patient health by completing the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Adheres to infection-control policies and procedures to ensure safety.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with regulations and utilizing support personnel as needed.
• Maintains documentation and communicates actions using SBAR while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Ensures proper function and operation of operating room equipment and calls for repairs as needed.
• Prepares supplies, equipment, and implants per procedure and surgeon preferences; documents charges accurately.
