Theuniversityunion seeks an experienced perioperative registered nurse to support operating room and endoscopy services in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. You will perform pre-operative assessments, prepare charts, and assist anesthesia and surgeons throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include patient teaching, medication administration, aseptic technique, and ensuring patient safety. BLS is required at hire, ACLS and PALS within 90 days, with OR, PACU experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BLS required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of employment.
• Operating room, Circulator, Endoscopy and PACU experience recommended.

Aufgaben

• Completes pre-anesthesia assessment forms and gathers pre-operative data.
• Verifies patient identity, consent forms, and correct procedures.
• Provides pre- and post-operative patient teaching.
• Administers medications and IV therapy and monitors output.
• Ensures supplies, instruments and equipment are available for procedures.
• Maintains infection control and aseptic technique.
• Assists anesthesia staff and monitors vital signs during perioperative care.
• Documents assessments, observations and interventions thoroughly.
