Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, is seeking a Staff RN for the perioperative setting. The role involves delivering direct and indirect patient care before, during, and after surgery in coordination with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS with at least one year perioperative experience. CNOR and BSN are preferred. Per Diem status and a variable shift are offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on the job training
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly accountable to OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services; coordinates perioperative patient care.
• collaborates with surgeon and anesthesiologist to deliver care.
• Directs OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards.
• Ensures adherence to regulations, standards and hospital policies.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
