Job summary

Prism Vision Group seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (Perioperative) to provide skilled nursing care in the Spokane Eye Clinic ambulatory surgery setting. You will assess patients, plan care, educate patients, and act as a care advocate while ensuring safety and privacy.

The role is onsite at an Ambulatory Surgery Center with responsibilities for pre- and post-operative care, documentation, and cost-conscious resource use. A current RN license and BLS are required; ACLS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Registered Nurse Program.
• Circulator experience required.
• Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• BLS Required (ACLS requested, not required).
• Must be detail oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the patient’s physical status through observation and interaction.
• Review Privacy Practices and Patient Bill of Rights.
• Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments and education.
• Identify educational, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients.
• Ensure pre-operative testing requirements and recognize surgical risks.
