Job summary

Prismhr Hire is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Ophthalmic Operating Room team at our physician-owned Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role emphasizes safe, sterile surgical care and collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia providers in a daytime-only setting.

The ideal candidate has OR experience, ophthalmology or ASC background, and strong patient-care skills, with responsibilities including pre-op assessments and intraoperative documentation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• ACLS certification (required).
• Prior OR experience required; ophthalmology or ASC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate during ophthalmic procedures, preparing equipment and assisting the surgical team.
• Monitor sterile technique and infection-control standards.
• Accurately document intraoperative care, medications and outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and scrub staff to ensure efficient case flow.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and verify surgical documentation and consents.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
