Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Operating Room in Forney, Texas. You will assess patients through the perioperative episode, develop care plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative services.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with 1 year of OR or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred, you’ll hold an active nursing license in good standing and certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS if

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if pediatric care is included in the facility scope within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
