Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center (CMH), part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to join a full-time night shift. This role offers a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and requires perioperative experience with RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

The RN will coordinate care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, supervise OR staff, and ensure compliance with hospital policies while contributing to performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting.
• Coordinate patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and direct OR staff.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and adherence to hospital policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
• Serve as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
