Job summary

Nantucket Cottage Hospital on Nantucket Island, MA is seeking a Perioperative Nurse for a 100% onsite day shift with on-call. Strong preference for candidates with operating room experience and CNOR certification within two years.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
2+ years perioperative experience preferred.
Current Massachusetts RN license required.
CNOR/CEN/CCRN certifications preferred.
BLS/CPR within 1 week of hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months or orientation.
On-call availability and ability to rotate shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates expertise in operating room procedures and can work independently as needed.
Maintain safe, effective perioperative nursing care and documentation.
Assess patients preoperatively and develop plans of care for operative cases.
Communicate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflows.
Assist with central sterile supply and on-call coverage as required.
Support orientation and supervision of other perioperative staff.
