Job summary

The nurse is responsible for pre-admission through post-operative care, including migration of care plans, post-anesthetic monitoring, and timely hand-offs to the PACU team, while adhering to hospital policies

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required.
• Active BLS and PALS required.
• Pediatric or surgical care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing care planning using nursing process (assessment, implementation, evaluation).
• Completes comprehensive multi-system assessments and discharge planning.
• Documents patient progress and critical findings with care team.
• Administers medications per policy and ensures safety in sedation and PACU procedures.
• Coordinates care with a multidisciplinary team and supports family-centered care.
