Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Florida seeks an experienced RN for the Minor Procedure Room unit to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across Pre-Op, Intra-Op, PACU, and post-anesthesia care. You will assess, implement, and evaluate plans of care with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, family communication, and adherence to evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license and BLS certification.
• PALS certification within 2 years.
• BSN preferred and able to collaborate across teams.
• Proven ability to follow policies and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across Pre-Op, Intra-Op, PACU (Recovery) and care collaboration with Anesthesia.
• Administer medications safely, verify dosage and documentation per policy.
• Lead turnover between cases with Care Assistants to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-op care, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient progress and critical findings in the electronic health record.
