Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced RN for the Minor Procedure Suite to plan and deliver patient care using established nursing processes. You will work under the Nursing Manager/Director, ensuring compassionate, family-centered care and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include pre-admission assessments, plan of care execution, effective communication with the care team, and coordination across Pre-Op, Intra-Op, and PACU to support safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in FL or eNLC with active standing.
• BSN degree preferred or in progress within 6 months.
• BLS certification maintained.
• PALS certification maintained.
• CPN certification preferred within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing care using nursing processes: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Documents patient progress and critical findings with physicians and care team.
• Administers and documents medications per policy, ensuring six rights of med administration.
• Assists surgical team and supports PACU, Pre-Op, Intra-Op, PACU 1 & 2 as needed.
• Leads turnover between cases with Care Assistants to maintain safe, efficient care.
• Ensures proper PPE usage and adherence to Universal Protocol and infection control standards.
• Educates patients and families about procedures, diagnoses, and discharge instructions.
• Participates in care planning rounds and family-centered care initiatives.
• Maintains accurate electronic health record documentation and timely communications of lab results.
