Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is hiring for peri-operative nursing to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the operating room.

You will document findings, oversee staff, manage supplies, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care aligned with Mercy’s mission. Education requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure and current CPR/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Successful completion of medication administration math competency test.
• RN licensure in the state of practice.
• CPR certification and ACLS (or scheduled).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate peri-operative patient care per plan of care.
• Communicate findings and document in the patient record.
• Oversee care and services provided by ancillary and other personnel.
• Manage supplies and equipment within the unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdepartmental staff in peri-operative care.
• Contribute to marketing of operating room services and maintain patient safety and quality care.
